April 25, 2012JCC of Bayonne is now on board with Jupiter Multimedia… Their new site will be online very soon. The rebuild was designed to highlight programs and events that went unnoticed on their prior website. We’ve also provided them with a way to share more with their members.
Welcome JCC of Bayonne!
Small businesses, startups & entrepreneurs beware SOPA will ruin your business.
November 29, 2011“A List Apart strongly opposes United States H.R.3261 AKA the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), an ill-conceived lobbyist-driven piece of legislation that is technically impossible to enforce, cripplingly burdensome to support, and would, without hyperbole, destroy the internet as we know it.” http://www.alistapart.com/articles/say-no-to-sopa/
Jupiter Multimedia stands alongside A List Apart as well as many others like Google, Yahoo, and Mozilla. Please research SOPA at the very least read the full article linked above.

Cafe Bello, Pizza Master, The Elevator Company & Steve Mack Photography of Bayonne NJ
July 19, 2011We take special honor when we get to build a local business’s website. We currently have the exceptional honor of four locals.
Cafe Bello is one of those tried and true local restaurants that has stood the test of time for many years now. Their brick oven pizza is amazing! The entire staff is beyond friendly and seems to never change ; this is a good sign about any establishment. I have to admit I’m a foodie. I rarely if ever just go to a new restaurant off the cuff site unseen. I check their website… Often I am checking on my mobile phone while out and about. Convenient isn’t it? Not if your website is made in Flash and many restaurant websites often are. This means MILLIONS of people aren’t able to view your site on their mobile devices! If I can’t see the menu, the wine / beer list, or if you take credit cards I very likely will be skipping your place.
Next up is Pizza Master, a traditional NY style pizza. Big slices with that taste you seem to only find in the NY area. However, Pizza Master is more than pizza. Pizza Master also has a long history in Bayonne NJ and we feel privileged to be building their website. It’s not enough to just let the world know you exist… Today’s customers expect to be able to place an order online and have their address to make ordering simple and convenient. If you’re not keeping up your customers are shifting to places that are serving their needs.
The Elevator Company, while its owner and operators are long time locals, is a relatively new business in the area… At first thought it might sound strange. It’s just elevators? right?… WRONG! you see… THESE GUYS GET IT! Everyone, EVERYONE! searches online now! I REPEAT…. EVERYONE! Searches online now. Without a website you’re just not visible in today’s market and a bad website tells your perspective customer you don’t care and possibly may not be capable of doing the job. Your nephew’s Dreamweaver skills seriously don’t cut it. Savvy customers can take one look at a website and judge you without ever knowing you’re the greatest business that ever existed.
Last but not least is Steve Mack Photography. Steve is no stranger to Jupiter Multimedia. We built Steve’s earlier site many years ago. Recently Steve felt it was time to update. Many things have changed since his first website. Screens have become MUCH larger! Internet has become MUCH faster! Websites have become more visual and interactive. Sites can also be fully managed by yourself without difficult complex backends. After listening to what Steve was looking for we felt the best solution would be to rebuild his site… In some instances it’s possible to make updates that will help renew and refresh the life of your website. We felt to fully provide Steve with a solution he can really use to show off his portfolio of brilliant photographs it was best to scrap the old site. The site was more than six years old and no longer reflected his direction. Since we are doing a redesign of the site why not take the opportunity to really pump it up!
Thanks to all of you for the opportunity to create your home on the web. We take exceptional pride in the fact that so many locals are choosing Jupiter Multimedia as their website design team!
I’d also like to note that ALL of the sites mentioned above are being built based on our amazingly affordable $200.00 website starter package. Contact us to find out how our website starter package can be tailored to suite your individual needs!

Increased Spam (Epsilon Security Breach)
April 28, 2011On March 30th, an incident was detected where a subset* of Epsilon clients’ customer data were exposed by an unauthorized entry into Epsilon’s email system. The information that was obtained was limited to email addresses and/or customer names only. A rigorous assessment determined that no other personal identifiable information associated with those names was at risk. A full investigation is currently underway.
For Consumer Inquiries in the US and Canada, please call 866-595-4896 or email sbranam@epsilon.com)
For Media Inquiries please contact Jessica Simon (212-457-7135, jsimon@epsilon.com)
What does this mean to you?
Hopefully, it won’t affect you drastically… However please be aware of scams that claim to be banks or other official type mail.Due to the security breach spammers have your real name and email address. This can make you feel more at ease when being targeted by such an email scam. make sure the links in a mail message are truly directing you to the legitimate website. If you aren’t sure CALL your institution and ASK if the message is real. NEVER give out additional information such as PIN numbers, social security numbers, licenses, etc, etc, etc… None ever ask for such information through email and rarely in an online form. If a form is asking many personal details BE SKEPTICAL, CALL and ask if it’s legitimate.
If you do start seeing more spam you could bring it to our attention and we will take steps to help control the spam you are receiving… Please keep in mind there is no magic wand to stop spam. The best way to avoid unwanted spam is to be frugal and cautious with your email address.
What we are doing to fight spam?
We have proactively increased our scanning for spam and have made it more difficult for spammy mail to be delivered. we will try our best to control the spam you receive again please remember it’s impossible to stop ALL spam but much can be controlled. If you see excess spam please feel free to bring it to our attention. Also in our effort to control spam the tools that measure if an email is spam do so by using calculations on the content of the message. On rare occasion legitimate mail can be flagged as spam. If this does happen please notify us as soon as possible and we will take steps to make sure you mail is delivered properly.
